School Flagpoles

It is an important time to consider your school's flagpole situation.

In June 2004 the Prime Minister announced that from 2005, all primary and secondary schools would need to possess a functioning flagpole as a condition of receiving Australian Government funding (source: Department of Education, Science and Training).

The Commonwealth Government has offered assistance of up to $1,500.00 for every Australian school to help buy a new flagpole or repair an existing flagpole. LaMER has supplied schools all around Australia with flagpoles and worked with them to arrange the Government grant. If your school requires a flagpole, LaMER can help you find, choose and install a model that is right for your school.

Please consider your needs:

  • You may not have flagpole at all

  • You might not have a functioning flagpole

  • You might need replacement of an old flagpole which is NOT SAFE or not presentable enough to carry national flag

Government Grant

We can send you the latest Flagpole Grant Application Form and an Explanatory Notes To Principals from the Department of Education, Science and Training. You can also download or view the forms here. 

The application has to be directed to the Canberra office (address at the bottom of the Application Form) and an order has to be sent to us.
